Christmas Outcome and Blogger...PITA!

Christmas was good. got a hair straightener, some coooking pots, and a nifty new coffee maker among other things. Had a bunch of people over for dinner. It turned out pretty good. The kids enjoyed all their presents, and only one problem-- the refurbished computer I got for Emily from Santa is already messed up. I'll be forking out at least $75 this week to take it to a comp repair place to hopefully get it fixed. If not, I am gonna be royally pissed, and so will Emily. She's been dying to play the 15 games she got for Christmas......This "deal" is turning out to be as expensive as if I had gone out and bought a new unit....damn it all!

Got a new tattoo yesterday. As soon as my digital camera is fixed (yep more $$ out the window), I will let y'all see it. It's a scorpion over my heart. That's Hubby's sign. The claws are open, so if (God forbid) Hubby and I ever divorce, I can fix it so that the scorpion is breaking my heart....but I am trying to remain positive that will never happen! I made sure I did not put hubby's name on me....That would defintely guarantee we'd not be together forever. I'm superstitious like that. Maybe after 50 years I will finally put his name on me...or wait til he're old and greay and he passes away....but let's not think those morbid thoughts, eh?

Well, as many people that have Blogger will attest, this whole thing with the "New Blogger" is becomming a pain in the ass....with the beta I couldn't leave comments, my blogroll never updates, and, to top it all off, in order to switch, I need a google account.

Did I mention I already have, like, 50 gazillion email accounts already? I may just do what Jeopardygirl did and switch to WordPress....I am gonna check it out at least...because Blogger is getting on my bloody nerves. I also sent a message to Pixie to see if my template can be switched to WordPress format. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I really don't want to move, but if I have to, I will!!

Hope you all had a great Christmas. I have to go take a computer to the repair shop now.....

Merry Christmas! :D

It's 9 pm on Christmas Eve, and the kids are tucked in. I will check on them in a few minutes and then Santa Claus will stop by to leave his gifts for the kids. It was magical today making brownies for Santa and putting "Reindeer Food" out on the lawn so Santa will find our house.

I am so glad my kids still believe in Santa Claus. The magic of this night will be lost in a few years, but I will always have the memories of my girls preparing for Santa's arrival....and see the excitement on thier faces when they realize there is new stuff under the tree that wasn't there before. My one sadness is Hubby isn't here this year to see Kaity's excitement. It's her first Christmas that she truly understands about Santa, and Hubby can't be here to see it...

I hope you all have Merry Christmas! And Happy Hannukah to those of you who celebrate it as well!

Holiday Doldrums

I have been feeling pretty introspective the last few days. I sense a feeling of morose existence. I think it's because the Holiday Doldrums have paid me a visit.

Normally this time of year, I am enjoying things so much. This year, with a noted absence in the house, I feel somewhat apathetic, and am celebrating merely because I don't want my children disappointed. If I didn't have kids, I doubt I would have even put up my tree to be quite honest, nevermind lights on the house and gone nuts with shopping.

I can understand most of the reason behind my feelings, but wonder how I came to be this way, so suddenly. It may be the lack of communication as of late, which has dampered my spirits considerably. It may be the fact that since I got to Groton I haven't had a strong faith community to immerse myself in, and which would help rub off the Joy of Christmas on me. Heck, it could be just that I am having a depression relapse and I need to get back on meds....

I am going to stick it out til Hubby's return. If I am still feeling this way, I will seek professional help, but honestly, I think it's because he's not here. This is a special time of year for us, and we've only been apart for it 1 other time. That's not a bad track record for 8 years of marriage!

Of course I am trying to mask my feeling by keeping busy with friends, the kids, and boat stuff...Smiling, laughing and being my generally loud, boisterous, feisty self...But when I have moments of quiet, it hits me how lousy I truly feel....I hope it ends soon. Maybe Christmas will make me feel better...Seeing the kids' delight as they open presents, making Christmas dinner and having family and friends over to break bread with me.

But for now...It pretty much sucks big time.....

Kitty Mental Damage

Today I am bringing the cats to get thier second round of shots. They should have had them earlier. I am a bad cat owner I know, but honestly with everything else in my life, I simply forgot. But I am getting it done, and that's gotta count for something, right? Not only are the cats getting shots today but Sweetie Pie, Emily's cat will be getting neutered on Friday morning.

He's started spraying, and I didn't realize he's already 7 months old! It's time. I am hoping againt hope that since I am doing this so early (I think I waited for a year with Buddy), the spraying will stop and soon. I am tired of cleaning up after him, and the room in which he does it contains the girls toys. yeah, its getting quite annoying to wash all those damn toys in the diswasher or washer and dryer. Or simply throw them out. After all they are getting this Christmas, I don't want that to happen anymore.

So please keep my poor cats in your prayers for the next few days. They will need it -- especially Sweetie Pie.

Welcome to the circus Tink! Can't wait to hear more from you!

What an Idiot!

In the immortal words of Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, "WHAT an idiot!"

You all may recall back in October when my "friend" Adam ditched me at the casino, when he was supposed to be looking out for me and making sure I got home safe. Well as time wore on, I found out that Adam had not been meeting friends and then heading back to New Haven as he claimed, he was picking up his girlfriend to stay the weekend in our area at his apartment . I met this girlfriend a couple weeks later, and we became fast good friends. We talked a bit and the "Casino Incident" as I have so dubbed it, came up. She told me the truth, and she also told me she had no idea Adam was supposed to be hanging out with me that night, and that the weekend had been planned for a while....She was confused as to why he would lie to me. So was I. I would have gladly told him to go be with his girl and found another friend to go to the casino with. He was my friend, and I wanted him to be happy.

Fast forward almost 2 months, and the girlfriend comes up here. She's going to be hanging out with me while Adam goes on a "guys night out" with a buddy from work. He's going to pick her up in the morning because she has to take an early train home to New Haven. She tries to call him when she finds out she doesn't have to be home early in the morning -- but he doesn't answer. He turns off his phone after that and we can't get a hold of him the rest of the night. We reason that maybe where he was (supposedly Hooters, then Dave & Buster's in Providence) there was no signal. But she's still irked, and with good reason. She calls again in the morning, and we think *MAYBE* he got too drunk and is passed out on his buddy's couch. We drive by there (it's a couple streets over) and Adam's truck is not there. We go home have breakfast. An uneasy feeling is among us, we know something is up.

After breakfast, we decide to drive to Adam's apartment. We can't imagine he'd head home and not pick her up, but whatever. She goes inside and knocks on the door. Finally he comes to the door in only boxers and does not want her to come in. She sees women's shoes on the floor. He tries to usher her outside so they can talk. She states that NO, she wants the girl who's in his room to hear her, so that the other woman can hear what a "SKANK" he is. He tries to say he just met the girl the night before and that he was drunk. She doesn't buy it. She proceeds to rip him a new backside exit and tells him it's over. She's MAD now. She tells me to drive to the buddy's house. She wants to confront the buddy as to why he would cover up for Adam. Not wanting to say no to her because I am upset for her, we go. She finds out that the buddy did not in fact go out with Adam, and that they never had plans. The wife of said buddy then offers to show my friend the receipt of the dinner they went to when Adam was supposedly out with the buddy. She politely declines, and is even angrier now, hurt, betrayed, among other things.

This guy did the same thing to me, essentially. It took me longer to put the puzzle pieces together, and I am just a friend, but essentially, we both got ditched for another woman for Adam to sleep with. Only in my friend's case, Adam was her boyfriend. He knew me and the girl we good friends. How he thought we wouldn't exchange information is stupid. That he though he could pull the same stunt twice and NOT get caught is unfathomable. To top it all off that he was CAUGHT RED HANDED is bloody HILARIOUS!! HE IS A EFFING IDIOT!!!

Adam is a MAJOR JERK, and honestly, I am better friends with his now-ex-girlfriend. Karma will get him someday, in the end , he will pay -- somehow-- for hurting her, and me, and every other person, friend or romantic interest, that he's pulled this on. I do not plan on keeping him as a close friend as he was in the past. It hurts, because I thought he was a good person and to find out that a person you thought was your friend would do this to ANYONE is a blow to the soul. I have a trusting nature that all people have some good in them. For Adam, his goodness is pre-meditated, so that he can take advantage of a person's trust, and is not genuine.

I feel bad for my friend. She is a good person and does not deserve this. Especially at Christmas. But honestly, we both thought something was up with Adam lately. He claimed it was the Holiday Doldrums, but it was really that he was cheating, lying, and hurting people.....He'll get his in the end.

White Dust

This morning I woke up as usual with the radio playing some soft rock song. I cannot wake to loud rock, as it nearly scares me into a shaking fit, so soft rock, at a decent volume is my preferennce. As I debated hitting the snooze button once more, the DJ came on in his faux pleasantly happy voice and announced to the listeners, who probably like me were debating rising and shining, that there was snow falling over much of Connecticut, some places with "squalls" of it. I groaned and hastily got up looking out my window to the backyard.

Yep, there were white flakes in the sky. It was falling, and hitting the ground. But it was barely sticking. I went to the kids' room and informed them of the weather. This is the second winter they have ever really experienced, and you'd think we didn't get nearly 3 feet last year. No, it was marvelous to them. Almost instantly I heard the dreaded question:

"Can we go outside and play in the snow???"

"No hon, it's barely a dusting. By the time you get on the bus it will be melted, I am sure."

The disappointment was hanging in the room like a heavy rancid odor. I instantly felt like the meanest mom on the planet, simply because the snow wasn't quite yet heavy enough to have produced snow for the kids to play in….Oh to be God for one day so I could give the kids a treat...

By the time Emily and I went out to wait for the bus, it had stopped snowing altogether. The light dusting was barely even that. It simply looked like the world had a light fog around it. The asphault was clearly visible through the white dust. I did make a half hearted attempt to make a few snowballs for Emily to throw at me. They caused some giggles. At least I redeemed myself, well partially anyway.

It's now nearly 9:30 am, and barely 2 hours since I woke. And the snow has already melted, and it seems as though the sun is trying it's damndest to make an appearance for the sake of parents everywhere who, like me, cannot stand snow past the "pretty phase". Kaity is upset because I told her she cannot go outside and play in the snow...I can never win it seems.

But alas it appears that the lovely weather we had been enjoying for the majority of the fall has truly dissipated. The forecast shows temperatures in the low 40's as highs all week, and I don't doubt that snow will again grace the hills and plains of Southeastern Connecticut and beyond. This is a sign of the world dying, for Persephone has been drug to the Underworld by Hades, and Demeter does not allow anything to grow whilst her beloved daughter is a prisoner below the earth...For me it is a melancholy time. The void of winter will drag for me, and being alone for it for a while makes it even tougher on my soul to bear.

I am hoping the joy of the holidays will lighten my mood, and perhaps even the anticipation of Hubby's return will keep my occupied long enough so that I do not suffer the winter doldrums too long.

Time will tell, I suppose, and so will the weather forecast...

Insomnia Rears It's Ugly Head

It's past midnight and while I have been trying to get some decent sleep in the last few days, tonight I simply can't. Tossing and turning, a million things going through my mind.

Thinking and trying to organize Christmas in my head for the girls. Trying to figure out what Santa will bring me, trying to figure out what to get friends, trying to figure out what to get for Hubby now, while the sales are good.

Getting ready for Yule, and SCA event, and praying that the dress I ordered gets here by tomorrow night so I can try it on, and hem it if neccessary. And if it doesn't fit, trying to get another garb outfit ready for Saturday.

Wondering how Hubby's doing. Missing him a lot tonight. Worrying about my friend who's pregnant and due any day because I am her "labor coach". Everytime the phone rings i hope it's not her, not because I don't want to be there for her, but it would just work so much better for my schedule if she goes into labor on Sunday or Monday....

Hoping that Emily is doing well in school. Trying to figure out when I can volunteer in her class.

Feeling hotter than Hell on Sunday because the temperature in the house is 77 with the heater turned OFF.

I actually dozed off for a while, but then Kaity woke up and my mind started spinning again. So I got up and started making lists. Lots of lists....

there's not enough time and money. No wonder I feel like I haven't rested in 6 months. I have been going, going, going for so long, and when I do get to stop and take a moment, I realize something else I have to do....and the break is over.

So I sit here and ramble, somewhat incoherently. My mind wanders over a milion topics, and I can't type them all fast enough before they are out of my mind and replaced with a new one. And all I want to do is sleep. Sleep for a long time.

Sorry for the ramble, but I didn't know what else to do. Myabe I will try reading for a little while....Bella tagged me for a thing, but I will get to it tomorrow night. I can't concentrate at the moment....

Exciting News!

Helloooooo Everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are gearing up for the Holiday Season with as much ferver as possible. While at my parents, the kids put up the tree and some selected Christmas decor around the house. When we arrived home on Sunday afternoon, we headed straight out to get decor for our house. Most of my outdoor decor got water logged back in the spring when I lived in my old house next to Mimi. Completely we got a few things for now and I will get more Friday on payday....

But the BEST thing about my trip? Checking my voicemail and hearing a message from the school principal that EMILY HAS A SPACE IN ALL DAY KINDERGARTEN!!!

I called this morning first thing to make sure she still had the slot. She does, and she will start TODAY!! Thats right, from now until 3:30 PM it's just me and Kaity!!!!

I am so doggone excited. We have all wanted her to be in all day since the summer. I thought for a while that it wasn't going to happen, but I guess praying for miracles does work afterall!!

Well, I am off. I have to unpack my suitcases, wake Kaity and get some stuff done around that I have all day to do it, I am not sure where to start!!

Time In a Bottle

If I could put time in a bottle...

I'd have some left over to keep up with blogging! Hubby's been in and out of port. I've gotten to talk to him quite a bit, which is ALWAYS a nice thing. Though I wish he would go back out to sea. Time passes faster when I am not worried about missing his calls!

I have been busy, of course. Spending time with friends, dealing ith Navy Wife drama, dealing with kids, being active in the SCA, and of course, trying to keep this house clean!

I am taking a little break right now as I sit here and chat to you all. My dad and step-mum and brother Chris will be arriving in about 2 hours. They are coming to CT to go see a concert for a band Chris likes. Did I mention Chris is 17? Yeah, he's being chaperoned. *shakes head*. Almost in college, and my parents are still hovering over him. He's gonna be in a world of hurt next year at college when Mum and Dad aren't around to help him get his butt in gear!

So they stay until tomorrow. Then Monday afternoon I am off to Nessa's house for the night! YAY! I've gotten to see Nessa a few times since the wedding, but this will be the first time I will be able to spend QUALITY time with my best friend. Even if the kids are gonna be there, I am still looking forward to it. The next day, I am driving to take the ferry to the Vineyard for Turkey Day. 5 days at Mum & Dad's. I have already prepared myself by making loose plans with as many friends as possible - haha! I am hoping "Grandma and Grandpa" will want to spend LOTS of quality time with their grandkids. Besides, I need to go have a drink with my sister!

After 5 lovely days with the family, I will head back to Nessa's for another day of quality time! YIPPEE!! Then head home the next day. Two days after that, I have to drive to get my friend H at the airport in Hartford, then back to New Haven where she lives, and then back to the New London area. Lots of driving. Maybe I should get an oil change for the truck!

The following Saturday is Yule for my SCA Barony. Yep, I get to dress up in medieval clothes and do a traditional Yule celebration, including dancing and a 4 course meal. I am looking forward to this all day event. Mostly because I will get to enjoy it without kids! I think they are a bit young at this time to take them. 8 hours would drain them and I wouldn't enjoy myself because I would be busy trying to keep them occupied. Maybe when they are older, although I am hoping next year to get Hubby to go with me and this can be a day to ourselves.

So as you can see, a lot going on in the real world. With the holidays looming over us, and then Hubby's Homcoming to worry about, I will try to write more, but I don't know if it is a reality.

I hope everyone who's in the US has a good Thanksgiving. Remembers that the best thing to be truly thankful for is life, love, and liberty!

Sucked Her In!

Nessa has started her own blog, and even mentions me in it! I feel incredibly humbled that I inspired her...I can now chalk up two people I got into blogging...Mimi being the other one...anyway, here's Nessa's Blog - Write Life Crisis

Hope you enjoy! And make sure to tell Nessa that Cissa sent you!

Happy Birthday Hubby

Hubby turns 33 today. I wish I could be with him so that we could have celebrated. Hopefully next year...

I don't have much to say. I am constantly tired, stressed, worried, missing Hubby and being driven crazy by the girls.....I could use a vacation.....

Happy Halloween!

myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics

Tonight all the ghouls and boys will be out!! I am volunteering at Emmy's school because she has been Star Student the last 7 days. That means she has been line leader, snack helper, etc. for a week, and I was asked to come in and read a story to the class after the "Pumpkin Party" they are having today. Since we live in a Politically Correct world these days, the kids are not allowed to wear costumes to school, which I think is a shame, because honestly, MOST KIDS, don't understand the religious background of Halloween, so why should they suffer? GIMME A BREAK!!

Besides, this is NEW ENGLAND!! WE HAVE WITCHES HERE!! Seriously, there are a lot of Wiccans here, and guess what? THIER HOLIDAY IS BEING SUPPRESSED!!! If I were wiccan I'd be protesting all over that bloody school. As it is I am seriously considering showing up in costume. I can claim I am a witch and today is a holiday, so I am dressing up...technically, they can't disallow ME, as an adult, the right to freely express my would be a lie, so that's the only reason I won't...but it does burn me up in the gut, lemme tell you!

ANYWAY...I've got 200 popcorn balls, 4 bags of candy and ZB will be bringing about 500 pieces herself to pass out while I take the girls around trick or treating. After about a block or two, I will bring Kaity home, and ZB will take Emmy out for some more houses. It will be a fun night, and the weather is not too cold, thank the good lord, my cloak over my Medievil garb should be plenty....

I hope you all have a great night, and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

In Pain in a Number of Ways....

So the weekend after my anniversary, my friend Adam ditchedme at Mohegan Sun Casino fro some friends in New Haven...meaning I was all alone, looking dead sexy, and drunk in the casino and he was 1 1/2 hours away having a good old time not worrying about me...a kind stranger drove me home. Had he not been a military man, I would not have accepted. Adam got a reaming of the importance of ditching a drunk hot woman when she's depending on him...He also did not answer his cell phone the rest of the weekend, and by the time he called on Sunday, I was LIVID. He is lucky I didn't kick in his genetalia in the middle of Wal-Mart.....he promised to make it up to me....he hasn't really done that yet...and it hurts that he was so glib about the whole ordeal....

The following Tuesday, ZB took me to my wisdom tooth extraction. I was in bed most of Tuesday and Wednesday, in extreme pain and on lots of medication... but by Thursday, my good friend Angie was turning 21 and I couldn't ignore that! We went out for drinks after dinner at a was a good time...but I was glad to have my vicodin....the pain was still bad...

Friday I went to see The Prestige with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman....why CB has not gotten an Oscar nomination for any of his work over the last 25 years yet is beyond me...go to and look him up...he's done A LOT of quality stuff....Adam and Angie accompanied me to the movie and when we took Angie home, half of a tree was in her backyard!! It was crazy....Adam took me out for a couple drinks to "make up to me" for ditching me the weekend before...but I am still kinda pissed at him because he's pulling the "Oh, well, I was sleeping alll day" excuse on me when he makes plans to hang out this week....I think he has a girlfriend, which would be good cause the guy needs to get laid, but seriously....he keeps letting me down, and I think it's a sign the friendship isn't what I thought it was.....

It's Tuesday again and I got my stitches out from the wisdome teeth extraction. I have had severe pain in the bottom right of my mouth, the side in which my most impacted tooth was. The doc had to give me more vicodin...The pain was gettign so bad it was giving me migraines...on the upside, my first "real meal" after the tooth extraction? Steak and Cheese grinder from D'Angelos's....and lemme tell you was the BEST steak grinder (sub, hoagie, whatever you call it in your own neck of the woods) EVER.....

I spent $150 on a new bedset today. 400 count Egyptian Cotton Sateen sheets, and a luxury jaquard/velvet comforter I feel guilty? NOT IN THE LEAST...Hubby missed a birthday, an anniversary, and will miss Christmas, AND he spent well over $1000 in foreign ports so far on himself and hasn't ONCE even sent me a fucking he can kiss my ass...I deserve some nice new bedding, damn it!

I've been a bit manic in my moods lately, hence why I haven't been writing....I just feel like I'm in the bottom of a hole right now...I hate to feel like this, but I do...eventually I'll climb out, and Hubby will be almost home....someday.....

Happy Anniversary Cissa & Hubby

Today is my 8th wedding anniversary. Hubby and I were married in Norwich, CT back in 1998 at a justice of the peace. We had about 7 people at the service, and at our apaprtment afterwards 9. The only member of my family present was my mom. We feasted on Hawaiian meatball subs, cookies, beer and champagne. It was a cloudy day.

Hubby isn't around this year, and it's the first time in a long time we have not been together for it. I can only think of one other time - 2001. Not a bad track record for a Navy Couple.

Here's some more pictures from the wedding.....

I'd write more, but I am a little sad today. I miss Hubby......

Updates Abound

Well Saturday was the Renaissance Faire. It was fun! But I think next year I am going to buy season tickets so that one day Hubby and I can go with the kids and another day we can go by ourselves. It was hard to see all the shows and goings on, not to mention the fact that the kids required a lot of attention and wanted to do things as well. But overall, a very nice time. I did end up getting a cloak to go over my ensemble, as it was a bit chilly in the morning and towards the end, and even with long johns under my skirt, my topside was a bit exposed and cold! hehe. The kids had tea with Queen Morgan, Sister of Arthur, and sat with ladies in waiting to the Queen. They even got to see a special visitor -- the Dame Knight who represented Queen Morgan on the Jousting Fields brought her horse for all the Ladies, Dames and Princesses of the Tea Party to meet!! They had SUCH a great time! They were knighted by King Arthur himself too! I can't wait for next year!

I had a good time too. One of my favorites was the human chess match. It was very cool. And one of the Kings Noblemen hit on me!! oh yes and Merlin got me to dance with the Royal Party. It was such a good time! Man, I really wish Hubby could have gone with us. I am getting him an outfit for next year....I want to do it again!!!

In other news, Emily is starting to READ!! YES READ!! She did some coloring the other day, and made a "book" called "I wish I had an apartment". And no kidding, she actually wrote I WSH I HD APTMNT . I could actually see that she was writing this! so I got one of the beginner books out for her and she read the whole thing...well I did help her out with sounding some of the words, but she really was reading the words! I was so proud of her. I couldn't believe it. She is so doggone smart!

Today I spent a lot of my day putting up pictures on the wall. I've been in this house almost 6 weeks, it was time to start personalizing the place. I have a lot of cleaning to do because I am having guests over on Saturday evening. I've got my list and have been ferverently getting things done. I also went shopping with my friend ZBabygirl, who will be known forevermore as ZB. We were looking for used or inexpensive kitchen chairs, as my kitchen set is starting to fall apart, and 2 of the chairs have already broken. I suppose that's what 5 moves in 4 years will do to them, eh? No luck in finding anything I could use that would closely match what I have...but maybe later in the week I will have some luck...

I am off to bed. More cleaning and decorating to be had tomorrow. Hope you all are having a wonderful week!

Is It Saturday Yet??

I cannot wait for Saturday. I have been looking forward to this Saturday for about a month now...Why? It's just the 2nd Saturday of the month, what could possibly be so exciting this Columbus day weekend? The Connecticut Renaissance Faire, that's what!!

I have always wanted to go to a Renaissance Faire. I had a friend growing up who always went to King Richard's Faire in the fall, and I was always so doggone jealous. As a drama-type person, the idea of all the Chivalry of the medieval times really gets me pumped. Well now I am a grown-up, and thanks to Hubby's income, I can afford to do things I never could as a kid. Like go to the Ren Faire. I even bought an outfit to wear, and outfits for the kids too!! Of course, the outfits are doubling as Halloween costumes, so I am getting my money's worth....Isn't my outfit beautiful?? ( I won't be wearing the hoop skirt underneath like in the picture, so it won't be as poofy)

Well, then I decided to up the ante and go for something I REALLY always wanted to do. Join the SCA. Yep, I am a geek at heart, and I love this stuff. I want to learn how to make the clothing and do the cooking stuff. I really am a woman, aren't I?

So me, the kids, my friends Kristen, Adam, and Mimi & Durk and their son, are going to be heading to Hebron on Saturday morning for a full day of Renaissance Fun! I think Nessa & Dave are even gonna meet us there! It's so rare that I get excited for something like this, I just cannot contain it. Every time I talk to someone who is going with me, I gush like a kid waiting to go to FAO Schwartz or something. This is MY kind of fun, and I can't wait!!

I will try to take pictures, but since the digital camera still hasn't been taken to the shop, I am going to use my 35 MM SLR. I am sure I will still get some great pictures. I may even drag out the scanner for them!

For heaven's sake, SATURDAY GET HERE ALREADY!!!

If The Navy Released Them......

So can I!! Because I am a PROUD SUBMARINER'S WIFE!! Pictures of Hubby's boat overseas at a recent port! Not saying when and where, but they are great pictures!

Unpacking Stinks!!

As you all know, a few weeks back, I relocated from my house to another house that was bigger, a mere 1/4 mile from Mimi. Now I have been slowly begun the unpacking. I want to do it right and make sure everything is organized -- A place for everything and everything in its place. This is all well and good in theory, but the truth of the matter is that it is a time consuming process. And as such, with a 3 and 5 year old who are difficult to convince that fresh air and our semi-fenced in backyard is a great way to spend some time without me watching them all afternoon, little gets done around here.

Take the office for example. I did indeed get 3 boxes unpacked. However, it's all over the floor in the office, because I want it to be organized. And in order for that it had to be all out of the box. And now that it is, it's a mess, and I only have another 2 hours before I get to get Emily off the bus....*sigh* and here' comes Kaitlyn, wanting something else from me......Ok I'm back..

And then there is laundry. I know I have mentioned my hated of folding laundry, how I let it pile up....I am still doing it...It's all over the laundry room and all over my bedroom. I also need to switch out the clothes Emily has outgrown to the "save for Kaitlyn" box, and transfer all the summer clothes and baby clothes for Charity that Kaity has outgrown. It take a long time to do all this when you don't have the chance to focus.....I know I should call friends to ask to babysit, but I did that so much already, I feel like I am being unfair and becoming a nuisance to them....

And so, I procrastinate some more and write a blog entry! LOL

ok, now that I've vented about how much this sucks, I am going to do something -- Clean and organize the office!!

My youngest daughter, Kaitlyn, turns 3 years old today! I can't believe she's such a big girl! Her party was on Sunday afternoon, and we all had a great time. She had fun, and even got a Buzz Lightyear cake - yes, I play into her Toy Story obsession....she got a Woody card today and went ballistic with joy. So I know I made the right choice!

Happy Birthday to my Baby Girl!!

Happy Surprises Are the Best....

Have you ever gotten a small wish come true, and not expected it to actually happen? Well, it happened for me today, and although I cannot elaborate, I will say that it was eerily perfect timing for me and my friends.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayer....

And Now, I Rest...Sort of....

Well it's over. The transition is complete. I worked myself so hard the last 2 weeks, and I am officially checked out of the old house. I hope Mimi will get nice new neighbors.

Now the unpacking and organizing can begin...Slowly but surely. But First? This weekend I am throwing Kaitlyn her 3rd birthday party. She turns 3 on Tuesday, but who has a party on a Tuesday? Not me, especially with school started. But Sunday Afternoon? That I can do...

By this weekend I hope to have all of the kitchen and living room finished unpacked and maybe even put up some artwork. It's ambitious, seeing as it is Thursday already, but hey, there isn't much left really downstairs -- excluding the garage of course....Which is brimming over with stuff that will be unpacked eventually...hehe....

So I am back...My presence on the web will be more well represented. Thanks for understanding and stuff. I hate moving. I seriously hope this is the last time I do this for a long time!

School Days Are (Almost) Here Again!

In 2 days time, Emily, my oldest, starts Kindergarten! However, with the move this weekend, I have had little-to-no time to do school shopping. Sure, I've picked her up a backpack and a "first day" outfit. But I still have things to get her, and with time running out before Thursday, I need to get my backside in gear.

I had planned to go today with Emily after her trip to the dentist for 2 cavity fillings, however, my mother who usually is here by this time, decided that she is coming over later today, since she is staying the night. This is so that I can go to the movies on base and relax for a couple hours with friends. Her not coming earlier sucks for two reasons:

1. I have to take Kaity to the dentist, which I did not want to do because she will distract me form keeping Emily calm, and...
2. I have to take Kaity shopping afterwards, which will totally suck because it will be distracting to have to watch her when I am trying to bargain shop and find Em's size for things.

The real problem with Mom coming later is I didn't find this out until about an hour ago, when I was calling to find out what time she wanted me to pick her up. This of course, has put a crink in my plans...Sure I can go tomorrow, but I hate having to cut it so close...Not to mention I already have cleaning the old house on the agenda for tomorrow morning...Yet again, my schedule will have to be changed. I hate that!

Well I should go. I am gonna get the kids lunch, get Em to brush her teeth, and head to the dentist...After I beat them for driving me insane while trying to get ONE blog entry in 3 days!

....And even more fun times? Blogger is being a pain in the ass, and not loading pictures for some bloody stupid reason...Will my torment never end???

Tired, But Awake....

Have you ever exhausted yourself to the point where 5 hours of sleep gets you pumped up for the rest of the day? That's me right now. Since Thursday, I feel like I have lived a lifetime and a half. 85% of the house is transferred to the new one, and the unpacking has begun. But this is going to be a slow unpacking, because I am taking my time, I am organizing and I finally have the room to get my house in a clean, orderly, unluttered fashion. It's kind of scary.

Kaity woke at 5 am wanting juice. after I got it for her, I tossed and turned for about a half hour, then gave up and just got up. I am so ready to start my day. I do belive I am going to start with an inaugaral shower in my new house...after 3 days of moving stuff and finally having some stuff done, I think I deserve it! But I wanted to check in and say -- YAY!! I AM MOVED (pretty much)!!

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day! I'll check back in later in the week!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Check Out for thousands of custom glitters and layouts

Yes, the countdown will be removed.....I am officially 29!

I hope no one important dies today. That would suck. 9 years ago it was Princess Diana. Talk about a major downer for my birthday!

Today I am moving things from the "old house" to the "new house". I get my keys in about an hour. I am so excited! It will have to go in stages, as I only have so many boxes, but that's why I am going the kitchen and my bedroom first....most of it can be emptied and the boxes I clever or what?

Thanks to everyone who left birthday messages in my last post!

Home Sweet Home

There's nothing like returning home and sleeping in your own bed. I would have to say that after watching a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, it's the most comforting in the world. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I slept on a cold concrete floor for the last week....I most certainly was given bed space. But my pillowtop matress that Hubby and I got 2 years ago has no competition as far as confort goes.

So I bet you all are wondering about the wedding? Damn, I wish I had pictures, but I don't. And you know why? Because my digital camera chose Tuesday night to start messing up. given the time constraints and the lists of things to do for the Bride, I didn't have time to go and get it taken care of. Even now I dont....I have packing to do because I start to move in 2 days...

So - the wedding....Nessa was beautiful...I saw her coming down the aisle, then I looked to her intended and I could see He was fighting to hold back the tears. I lost it. The Priest or Bishop or whatever he was had one of the altar boys get me some tissues. Those went into good use through out the ceremony. of course I had to split it with Nessa who was her own version of water works. After the ceremony was over, we went and took pictures at the site where D-man proposed. On the way one of the groomsmen called Domino's and had them deliver to the outdoor venue in Roger Williams Park. After driving around the more scenic parts of Providence, we headed to the reception. WHAT A CROWD!! Over 200 people at the reception, and lemme tell ya, crowds and I, they don't mix well. After cocktail hour, the Weddign Party was introduced. Then the best man and I had to give our little speeches.

I was nervous. I mean really nervous. Shaking like a leaf. I could barely read my speech, because my hands were shaking so much. I managed to get through the speech and only cried 2 times. Vanessa of course, cried too. So then dinner, dancing and lots of fun....I'd go into it more....but honestly, I am tired just thinking about it again. It was a long night. But fun.

And then I went to get the kids. Had my birthday party cookout from my parents, packed the kids up and went home Monday afternoon. And now I am home, and have been packing for the last day or so. Because I am moving tomorrow...yes, TOMORROW....luckily I have 2 weeks to get it all done and the old house'll be great. I have a few friends who are helping me out, and hey, I won't be the first Navy Wife in history to move without their husband available.

So I will be checking in but this will be my last post until Sunday at least. Hope Y'all have a great Labor Day weekend....

Thanks to Mr. Fab & Stu for guest posting this week for me! They were silly but I definitely enjoyed reading from afar! It was funny and...interesting....but they were awesome to do me a huge favor like that.....

LOVE YOU GUYS!!! *pink hugs n kisses*

I've got a better idea...

Okay, cancel the party. I've got bigger fish to fry.

Mmmm...fried fish.

Oh, right. Focus.

I have decided that it is my destiny to be a dictator. I think I would make a good one. Kind of a cross between Mussolini and Micheal Eisner.

I'm looking at each blog as a country. And so it is in the name of the Federal Republic of Fabuloustan that I claim Heart of Fire. I'll be setting Stu up as Territorial Governor. We'll need to keep Cissa around in some capacity to keep the natives from getting restless. Stu, you can find something for her to do, right? Trot her out once in a while to keep the pink masses docile.

It is from here that we will amass our troops along the border and begin our assault on Dr. John's Fortress. My intelligence reports indicate that his blog is the key. Once he falls, Cissa's blogroll is mostly mommy blogs, full of estrogen, enfamil, and dirty diapers. Our tanks should be able to roll unopposed, at least until we get to Mind of Mimi. We'll have to be careful there. She knows Thai kickboxing. She must not be underestimated.

We'll need to win their hearts and minds. Studies have shown that the best way to win the hearts and minds of mommy bloggers is with chocolate, Starbucks, and a 24 hour Oprah channel. I've got some of my best men on the project as we speak.

As an added precaution I have had Dr. Phil captured and interred in a prison camp (okay, we're actually holding him in an Arby's bathroom) and we are threatening to kill him (okay, hurt him. okay, hurt his feelings) if we encounter any resistance along the way.

Am I forgetting anything?

Feels good to have a plan.

Onward and upward!

Let's get ready for the party...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The stupid contractors haven't started on any of the blog changes I mandated earlier this week. How can I work like this? I can feel pink estrogen seeping into my body, making me soft inside, like a woman.

Actually, I kinda like it.

Anyway, we need to plan for Cissa's birthday party. As you can tell from the menacing countdown thingy at the bottom of this and every post, the time draws near. I am not sure what happens to the countdown thingy when it gets down to zero. It probably explodes. I bet I lose an eye.

"Thanks, Cissa! Happy Birthday! I'd love to stay and watch you cut the cake but my eye is hanging by its optic nerve and I'm thinking I better go get it looked at, and then I have to drive to the costume shop and get a friggin' eyepatch. Toodles!"

Notice how I said "friggin'" there? I could have said something else, but I am a guest here and I when I am a guest, I always make sure I am on my absolute best behavior. I feel it is not only common courtesy, but also serves as a valuable example to the young people out there. And after all, it is the young people that are our future, correct?

That's how I fuckin' roll, anyway.

I haven't discussed the party plans with Stu, yet, but I am pretty sure I can speak for him. First of all, I think we can all agree that the party needs to be clothing optional. I may not go all out, but I want to be able to strip down to my leopard print speedo if I feel the urge. Admit it, you're intrigued by that, aren't you?

A speedo and an eyepatch. I'm gonna get more tail than Jude Law.

We're going to need the following:

Three cases of Boone's Farm Strawberry Wine
Two tubs of Crisco
A pin the tail on the donkey game
Five gallons of grain alcohol
Nail polish remover
Four crack whores
Four regular whores
Eight bags of Cheez Puffs
A tube of anal lube
A human sacrifice (preferable a virgin)
A can of Pringles
A cow
Three Zippo lighters
Several small caliber pistols
A tank of nitrous oxide
A Vietnamese spin fuck chair
Eleven blankets
a burro

Plus everyone is responsible for bringing their low standards and diminished expectations.

I'll let Stu get to work on the list. There is no sense wasting a creative thinker on an implementation task.

See you at the party! And shhhhhh. It's a surprise.

Dr. Cissa's First Post

The following is a repost of Dr. Cissa Fireheart's first post on this blog, Wednesday, August 24th, 2005. For anyone who reads this blog, but doesn't blog themselves, let me tell you, blogging regularly is hard work. It takes discipline and courage, both of which are abundant in Cissa. She is a true gift to those in her life. Congrats, Dr. Cissa! Many happy returns of the day.

With much love,

Stu :-)

So I got this idea....

Everytime I start a blog, I end up being good about posting for about 2 weeks. Then, something in my life takes over, and it's lost to the endless sea of blogs on the internet So I am warning you now....I don't know when I will update.

So anyway, I think I am about to have one of those moments. My oldest starts Pre-K tomorrow. I have a family reunion this weekend. I still have to finish unpacking this house from our move (I moved in July from FL to CT). I am in a local production (I'm an actress of sorts). I want to get my oldest into girl scouts, join the PTO.

I just wanted to mention something else: In case y'all didn't know, Cissa is NOT my real name. It's my "alter ego". I play an online video game on my computer and this is my main character's name. Those who know me - do not be freaked! I just couldn't think of any other name at the moment....Plus I didn't want to have my real name. I will probably only mention my Kid's names as real, even use my husband's video game character's name...It's easier that way...

It's my dear Blog's Birthday, YAY!! She's 1 year old today!!

Over my first year here, I have met a ton of people, made some great friends, and even brought some people to the blogging community! I've gone thtough a ton of templates, some were OK, and then there's my girly, sparkly awesome one that Pixie made......

I've raved, ranted, said some nasty things, shared some stuff maybe I shouldn't have....and a few times had to hold back on things I wanted to say on here....

But through it all, I have remained myself. I made it through a whole year of this insanity of Blogging!

Thanks to all my friends, readers - those who leave comments and those who don't, and to all the people who have made this experience so awesome for me....I sound like I am making a speech at the Acadamy Awards or something!

And now, Year Two can commence!

Dancing Monkeys

I thought about posting my stance as a proponent of the US Constitution and my deep love of the First Amendment, but then I thought, why not promote far less important things!

Pandora is custom-tailored streaming radio, brilliantly done. The interface is very easy to deal with, and the intelligent music choices are magnificent.

Google Earth Sightseeing
I'm a huge fan of satellite imagery, and Google Sightseeing makes it easy to check out the best stuff. It's fan-based, which makes it pure, and it's pretty random, which alleviates the boredom.

BoingBoing is a collective blog of four science geeks who post the most interesting stuff I've ever gotten into. The folks who make up BoingBoing are also brilliant, socially-conscious netizens, which makes it easy for me to support them. Dig.

Things are gonna change around here...

Okay, Cissa! Have a great time! Don't worry about a thing. Bye-bye now!

Okay, she's gone. Boy, that was a long hug she gave me. I think she grabbed my butt. That was a little awkward.

Okay...let's get to work. I can't stay here unless I make a few changes. A lot of this pink is gonna have to go. It hurts my eyes. It's burning into my retinas. And I'm not sure, but I think it's shrinking my testicles as well.

I like the title, and the flames on the banner are pretty cool. But the big pink heart has to go. I want it replaced with...zombies. Six, zombies. In a conga line. And the zombies have to be on fire. And one has a funny hat on.

Red and black. That's what I want for the template. Something with some balls, you know? Something that grabs ya.

And all these hearts in the sidebars: cut 'em loose. Replace them with dancing monkeys. People like monkeys. Have one of the monkeys be wearing a pair of lederhosen and have another one kicking a puppy in the ass. I don't care what the rest of them are doing.

That carrot thing in the right sidebar. Replace it with a dildo. A black one. I only want products displayed that I use myself. I'm no hypocrite.

Toward that end, let's see if we can't get some ads for Spermamax, Vietnamese Spin-Fuck Chairs, and Caffeine Free Diet Dr. Pepper up and running.

This is making me thirsty. Stu, get me a drink, willya?

Huh? Lemurs? Nah, this place isn't ready for lemurs. Besides, I can't spare any right now, I'm shorthanded. I've got three out sick, five on vacation, two on maternity leave, and Little Oscar is in jail again.

Okay, that should do it for now. Let's get these changes implimented. Don't worry, it's all authorized. I take full responsibility. I'm gonna go on home for now. But I'll be back.

I'll be back.

I Hear Bells in the Distance....

Well folks, today is the day I take off to RI to help my best friend Nessa prepare for her wedding day. I am so excited to be doing this. I had a very small wedding back in 1998, and this is so much bigger. But I know it is going to be beautiful. Nessa will be beautiful, and I am going to watch my best friend vow her life to the man that she loves. I'm tearing up just writing about it. I am so excited to help her with this day and to be there for her. It's to my wedding day and the birth of my children, one of the greatest honours I think I will ever have.....

So, I am leaving Heart of Fire in the care of these two crazy guys, Mr. Fab & Stu. All I ask is that they clean up thier mess and the dancing girls and Mongolian gay pornstars are gone before I return next week! I will check in of course, and most definitely will post something on my Blog Birthday on Thursday.

Have a great week everyone and enjoy Mr. Fab & Stu. They really are fun! Thanks to The Guys for helping me out this week! *BIG OLE HUGS*

I'm off to finish packing and head to Wedding Central!

To Guest Blog, Perchance, To Dream

Hi. How are you? How's life treating you?

I don't think we've met. My name is Stu. What's yours?

I received the honor of guest-blogging for Dr. Cissa a few weeks ago, and I've been looking forward to it. I can't wait to be inspired to post something interesting. I'm sure it'll happen. Any second now, boom, like an apple on the forehead, inspiration will whack me upside my Broca's area and a topnotch blog post will spill forth from my keyboard. Maybe. We'll see.

Still reading? Cool.

If you don't know me from a shovel of pencil shavings, my blog may prove to be informative. Who knows. Feel free to ask questions. I'm an open book, if not a tabula rasa.

Explination: Patience is Virtue...

except when you are waiting for a phone call.....

OK, so, a lil while back, Hubby pulled into a port. The calls back and forth that the guys were somewhere was exciting and made me anticipate my call....then I waited, and I waited, and I WAITED!!!

At one point, I was so hurt and stuff that I actually was threatening to my friends that Hubby was going to lose access to an ATM for the rest of his port calls. Yep. I got really really mad. Especially hearing that my hubby's co-workers were calling their wives multiple, yes MULTIPLE times. And all I had gotten was a large withdrawral from the bank that was more than it was supposed to be (Apparently Hubby doesn't understand exchange rates).

nearly 3/4 of a day passed....

Then I got my call. It was a lovely 45 minute call that for the first 10 minutes consisited of me verbally tearing Hubby a new opening in his backside. (it's Sunday, I'm trying not to be too crude). Yeah....

So another day and a half (35 hours to be exact, which sounds like a lot heh) passes and although I was much calmer this time around, I started wondering if Hubby was gonna call again this time around. He did thankfully, and I enjoyed a lovely, almost hour on the phone. All in all not too bad considering My Hubby is actually doing more than some of the others because he's good like that -- and some other reasons, but most of you would be lost and I can't explain specifics about the boat just know, Hubby is working more than most, but my phone calls have been very long one shots, and honestly I like it better that way. I get a quality conversation with him.....pretty doggone nice.

So that's why my post was a little odd the other day. Thought you'd all like to know.....

and now that we are all so Happy again....

Here I am...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Hey. What's up? Mr. Fabulous here. I just popped over from my usual digs.

Cissa wanted me to intoduce myself. I'll be pitching in while she's in Stockholm getting the sex change operation.

Ah crap, I don't think I was supposed to say anything about that.

When Cissa asked me about guest posting this week, I told her that I needed to be able to play to my strengths, which are swearing copiously, posting pictures of gay Mongolian porn, and advocating the violent overthrow of the U.S. government.

Bad news. Cissa put the kibosh on the porn.

I'll be sharing guest posting duties with some dude who just got out of prison. I think this is part of his community service. Me? I'm here because Cissa is a close personal friend of mine, and as I am in between gay Mongolian porn movie shoots, I find I have a little time on my hands.

I am a little nervous, because never has my prose appeared on such a pink backdrop. I hope this doesn't affect my manhood. I need to be able to perform when we start shooting Llama Loving Sluts of the Gobi Desert II in a few weeks.

You know it's gonna be classy because it has a Roman numeral in the title.

Okay, I'll be seeing you guys later. And um...if you see the other guy, don't make direct eye contact with him. That just encourages him.

Just When You Think All Hope Is Lost...

You get a bit of your faith back. I thought I had lost something very special. I thought it was just pushed aside and forgotten, and all the effort and hope I had brought to my life had gone. I thought I was going to go crazy.

And then I got my Wake-Up Call this morning.

Have I mentioned I hate currency rate exchange??

To those who don't understand this post, I am sorry. To those who do, Praise God! I really thought I was going to lose my mind until 5:42 this morning. But it's all good and I am happy again!

This post sounds odd reading it from a stranger's perspective. I wish I could clarify.

I also wish I could take a trip to Europe......

Invasion of the Guest Bloggers!

I have had two volunteers to write on Heart of Fire starting on Wednesday, and they both are great guys. I have pretty much given them free reign over the Blog, but I will be checking in from Wedding Central from time to time to make sure they don't cause too much insanity!

In the next few days they'll be posting an introduction of themselves, and although I am pretty sure I have both of them on my blogroll, they will still be linking their blog. At least, I asked them to, hehe....

I've got a trip to the beach, and some crafty things to do today with some boat wives....but I am checking in real quick to let you all know about The Guys (as I have just dubbed them). So you don't think someone hacked my account or something. Yep, The Guys are in town...look out ladies! (OK, so they are both married, but that's entirely besides the point!)

oh and last but not least

My New Look

So what do you all think? So far friends have given a positive response. I was actually going for something a little less dramatic, but the girl at the salon said this would look best on me. I have to say I agree......

I can't believe I forgot to say this earlier....

It's Not Like I've Been Terribly Busy....

Because Honestly I haven't. I mean sure, I have been cleaning, packing, and running errands. But I also have found the time to hang out with friends, and level my character on EverQuest2.

Yesterday I did some shopping. Someitmes I think Wal-Mart and Target are the Devil. I spent way more than I should have. Oh well...just means less booze at the wedding LOL

I got Nessa's Wedding Present. I think she'll not be surprised at what I chose to get her. She'll think it's is SO ME...I mean it was off her registry and all, but still....totally Me. Heh. Just gotta wrap the honking big box!

Vanessa's wedding is in 10 days. WOW. I am excited. I drop Kaity off with my parents in a week. Then I am child free for 5 days! CRAZY!!!

I wish I had more to write about, but life has just been...rather ordinary! It's a nice change to have some ordinarty stuck in there with the insanity I have had to deal with as of late.

I have head from Hubby a few times. He's overworked, underslept and hardly eats. Prisoners have it better than Him. Well except that whole "could get raped or killed while in there" thing. HEHE.

I'm off to get some boxes today and to take some pictures to send off to Hubby. Hope You All are having great week!

YES!! It Pays to Be Nice Sometimes...

Well the housing issue is almost resolved. I have been very fortunate. Thanks to my patience, and my polite phone calls to GMH, along with one very frustrated visit after a nasty phone call FROM Navy Housing Office, I am getting what I wanted -- a 3 BR house WITH a garage!

Now, I know the street it is on, but because the family is still there and doesn't vacate until the week of Nessa's wedding, I am not supposed to know the address. But I do have to sign an "acceptance" piece of paperwork today to file with Housing so I don't get another rude and vile phone call. That paperwork will have the address. So I'm just gonna drive by my new house....that's not gonna hurt anyone, right? Not gonna go inside or anything....and if I just happen to have a friends who have houses on that street who live on the exact same side of the duplex and take a look to see their layout again so I can do some planning on where to put stuff, I'm not breaking any rules, right? hehehe....

The only catch to this whole thing is that once the place is vacated, I have about 10 days to wait to move in, because Maintenance has to repaint, etc. So....that puts my move right around my Birthday/Labor Day weekend. I am not sure how many people are going to be able to help me then, but I certainly am going to be trying my hardest to get some people together. My last resort? Making a call to the Ombudsman who can find some people she knows....

My other problem? I will be moving approximately the week school about confusing for me and Emily!! I suppose I'll just have to get through it though. I am excited. I can't wait to see my new place. I can't wait to be able to store things and not have them get ruined by the weather or insects and termites shavings.....oh to have a dining room and my own bathroom!! Holy Moses - a bathroom DOWNSTAIRS!! I am foaming at the mouth just thinking about it!!!

So that's my happy news.....oh yes, and certainly cannot forget --

It's Quiet

Kait is in bed. Em is at my parents. It's quiet. And has been noticably more quiet since my return home on Sunday. It's kinda creeping me out. The insomnia is kicking in, and although I usually get about 7 hours of sleep, it's usually fitfull and full of odd/bad/freaky/extremly vivid dreams.....

I think I might go to the doc again about my sleep issues....if I don't get much more by the time the School year starts next month....

23 Days Until My Birthday

yeah, it's kinda blah.....I just don't have the nergy tomake it all cute and happy right now....

If Only the BRIDE Remembered It All

The Bachelorette Party was a blast! A lot of jerks, not Nessa's true friends, cancelled in the 24 hours before the party. One person didn't even bother to let her know, she simply just didn't show. That's OK, we had a good time without them.....

Cissa, Nessa & Missy

Nessa, Mom and Kathy

Nessa and our Party Bus Driver & Friend, Mike T!

So we got to the club. We met a bunch of my friends, everyone was drinking, dancing, havigna great time!! Especially Vanessa. I got one picture of the night's events which should tell you all what the night was like....

YES, He IS looking at her chest!!

So a lot happened that I promised would not get mentioned on the Blog. I will say, that as promised, drinking, dancing and semi-debautchery did occur. Oh yes, and I actually lost my temper with Nessa at one point, because she kocked a FULL bottle of beer on me, soaking me, my dress, ruining my make-up and pretty much, embarrassing the hell out of me....Imagine my surprise Sunday morning when a sore spot on my shoulder that is quite raised upon touch froces me to look in the mirror, and I see....

Yes, THAT is from the FULL beer bottle. It HURTS!! and I made Nessa take a couple more pics of it for me...

Welll...she DID apologize 100 times....I suppose I will forgive her.....

But I will be reminding her about it for the next 20 years! LOL

Yes Nessa doesn't recall a whole lot of things after the party bus ride. I actually think that is a good thing.....Nessa, it was a good time, and I am glad I could be there for it!! See you in a couple weeks for YOUR WEDDING!!!!WOOOOOOOT!!

Ladies Night!!

Glitter and MySpace Layouts

Today is the day!! Nessa's Bachelorette Party is tonight!! I am so excited, I can't wait!! I have a few games planned, but mostly drinking, and semi-debauchery is planned. And dancing, lots of dancing! I got a sexy little dress. I can't believe I actually bought it. I will try to take pictures. hehe.

Emily is coming with me and stay with a sitter in RI. That's because tomorrow, my dad and step-mum pick her up at Nessa's and take her back to Martha's Vineyard (a small island 7 miles off the coast of Cape Cod) -- FOR THREE WEEKS!! WOOOOT!!

So it'll just be me and Kaity til I leave for Nessa's Wedding. I am actually kinda psyched. Kaity is a bit more easy going in the entertainment department, as far as keeping her entertained. Plus, she likes to snuggle. I will miss Emmy's laughter. And her funny little Mini-Adult comments. And her ability to pick up on stuff I am tlaking about. They each have their qualities that I admire. It will be a little weird. I have never been away from either child this long in thier lives. I know she will be fine. But she is my baby....but I won't hear fighting for 3 weeks!! Good Lord, THAT will be a FIRST in this house!

For those who are wondering about my health and haven't called or e-mailed -- I feel sooooo much better after 4 days of meds. Plus the decrease in temperature and humidity around here has stopped aggrevating my chest and breating. I feel about 95% normal! YAY!!

Well gotta start the day. Watching my friend Jen's kids at 9 or so. She's meeting us at Foxwoods at Club BB King too. If any of you live in New England and wanna meet us there? 10 pm or so. Look for the girl with the veil - that's Nessa. I'll be the one pouring drinks down her throat! HAHA!!

Oh yes, one more thing....

WELCOME Dr. John's Friends!

As Dr. John has sent all his JC Points people here on the Marathon will say WELCOME TO YOU!!!

Last night, after grocery shopping and hacking up a lung or two, I finally broke down and went to the emergency room for my chest cold. I was told I have a bronchial infection, and ear in fection and when shown to the docs, an unrelated, fungal rash. -- LOVELY huh? I got a breathing treatment in the hospital, which helped immensely. To cure me, I got antibiotics, an inhaler, fungal cream (for the rash) and good ole Motrin for my pains. The meds made sleep an oddity last night...or maybe it was just the sweltering 90 heat in my house.....

I miss Florida. Central Air in every home....*sigh*

I have lots of stuff to do today and have callled in a friend to help me with house work, as I am running slow....gotta pack Emmy to go to the Vineyard this weekend for the rest of the summer!!

Have a great day and Welcome to Dr. John's friends!

Ahhh, technology...

This doesn't seem to be my week with it, apparently.....MySpace is having issues, and I thought it was just Big Brother...hehe...

I'm allowed to make mistakes, damn it!

F*#@d Up!!

My MySpace account got deleted without warning. and I am not the only military wife I know who's did.

Apprently My 1st Amendement rights are hereby terminated when I married my husband.

Would have been nice to at least get an explination or warning, though.

Oh yeah, today DEFINITELY IS SUCKING!!!!

Attention, Attention--

That is all.....

Technology at it's Finest...and too much crap

Ever have one of those days where it seems like nothing will go right? It seems at though that was yesterday for me....too long to explain, let's just say....I hate technology, stupid people, and myspace right now....

But I am back online (I knew turning the computer off and letting it think about what a bad boy it was would shape the little punk up), and ready for more fluffy goodness. Oh lovely, my anti-virus just informed me there was a virus on my computer...sigh

But anyway....all that time offline yetsrday and having a meltdown for other reasons, caused me to get a lot of cleaning done on the main floor. And I realized that I truly have entirely TOO MANY CLOTHES. And so do my children. The funny thing? I never notice exactly how much I actually go through clothes-wise, until I have to wash and fold it all. I can hear you all now "Why not fold the laundry when it's finished, Cissa?" Well dear friends, because I simply HATE laundry. I hate folding it and putting it away. Plus, to be completely honest, usually I do my wash on the go. I load the washer and then go do something hahaha, it only gets done when the mountain is so high, I am out of places to move in the bedroom. And with all the stuff I got going this week, the mountain is being built once again.

I'll have some time this weekend to fold, so I plan on doing it then...until the next catastrophe occurs that is LOL.

On another note, you may recall me posting about Blaze and Magazine Man's recent adventures...well Blaze, Himself, has left a lovely note of thanks to me and some fellow bloggers who donated to the ASPCA in his honour. A link to here was even made, and I welcome all of you who came here from there to the Fire! It was a hearfelt thank you, and all I can say was a privalege....Thank YOU Blaze for letting MM write about it!

I am still looking for volunteers for the week of Aug 23-29th to guest far I have one volunteer.....

Blog Birthday Plans

While reading Fuzzbox's blog this morning, it occured to me that my Blog Birthday is comming up next month. I looked up the archives and discovered that on August 24th it will be one year since I came onto the blog scene...and actually stuck around for it! So, I have begun to think about my plans for that day....then I realized....I am going to be at Nessa's doing Wedding Prep for the 26th!! So, I have decided to extend an invitation to some of my blog buddies for the week of August 23rd - 29th for guest blogging!

If you are interested in helping a Matron of Honor out, then please leave a comment and I will get back to you. I have never done guest bloggers before, and I thought my Blog Birthday Week would be a great excuse for it! There are quite a few blog buddies of mine who would be more than welcome to post for me.....*nudge, nudge, wink, wink*

So, let me know....I think I am also going to run a contest for Wedding Leftovers (I am guessing Nessa will be kind enough to donate a few favors or whatever)...and maybe I will even bestow my Grand Prize to be something of WORTH!

So, click on the comments below, and let me know if you wanna help me celebrate a Year of Blogging!

Introducing Sweety and Bella!

I know you all have been anxiously waiting to see the kittens. They got here about 5 pm on Saturday, and believe it or not, the kids WERE actually surprised! I managed to keep it from them, even though I was bursting to tell them! The pictures are blury, but you can get an idea of what their reactions were....

Here is Nessa' holding the kitties.......

This is Sweety. She has double paws that makes her look like she has thrumbs, and almost no black on her nose....She's the crier, and she loves to cuddle with Nessa and Emmy....

This is Bella. She's got more pblack on her nose, and is more aggressive towards Sweety. Always starting fights. She loves to cuddle with me......

They are so adorable, I cannot even begin to explain I will just post pictures instead.....

Sweety & Bella love to nap on Hubby's desk chair....

Yours Truly Cuddling with Bella on Sunday Morning....

Bella napping in the Noah's Ark toy...they love it!

Sweety sleeping in the couch cusions, Sweety actually cried when we tried to move her!!

So that's it from the Fireheart House! Hope you all have a great day!
