Theres no hurry any more, when all is said and done...

Happy Friday to you all! This weekend is my last as an unemployed woman. I am so happy about that! I managed to secure after school babysitting for the girls with a neighbor, and I am ready to go!

Unfortunately the weather this weekend is less than stellar. I have a feeling that the football game will be canceled tomorrow. That's ok because then I will get to sleep in. Plus the uniforms STILL aren't here, and I honestly am frustrated.

Last night was the season premiers of Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy. Betty was good, although a little weird for me, although the cute rocker that is Betty's new neighbor was an obvious romantic twist. Grey's...well...wow....Bernadette Peters was spectacular. Truly. As if the drama wasn't good enough, those crazy writers pulled the "Denny Card" out and played it well. When Izzy flashes back to the Prom from season 1 or 2 (I think it was 2 LOL) I was like "No way, no way, no way!!"

And then the elevator opens and Denny is there, in all his hunky glory, and I burst into tears:

"Dennyyyyyy!!" My Lord and Lady, it was so ...touching and awesome. I cried so much. I was so, so surprised and pleased to see Harry Dean Morgan. Truly, it took me like the last 5 minutes of the show to get over it.

It's an icky, rainy, day here in Southeast CT. The rain is making me want to crawl into bed and read a book. Right now I am reading A Boy Named Shel - The Life and Times of Shel Silverstein. Growing up on the Vineyard I had the good fortune of knowing Shel, as he was friends with my family who own the hardware store in the town he had a summer home in. It's been fascinating to know about his life, since I did not pry into his personal life when I spoke to him at the store or helped him hang lanterns for Illumination Night. My sister has almost all of his books personally signed, and I had hoped that when I had kids, Shel would be able to sign a couple for me.

He passed in 1999, and I recall the day he died because I was in Air Force Tech School. I was at the base barbershop with a fellow Airman from my flight as he got a haircut. CNN was on the TV in the room and they announced Shel had passed. I flew from the barber shop and made a collect call to my parents from a payphone. We all were very sad. I realized later that day Shel would never be able to sign the books for my future children. Selfish as it may seem, I knew I was sad I would not be able to provide that honor for my kids. Even thinking about it now makes me a little down. He was a genius. The Giving Tree still makes me weep when I read it.

Well that's all for me for now. Sorry about the downer at the end of this post. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today I am 31 years old.

Not terribly old, but I am not too young either.

I've been on Martha's Vineyard with my family for the last 2 days, and it's been great. Friday night we got to the island late, and yesterday my brother-in-law Terry came with his mom to tour the island. I had a party for my birthday, and my family and friends were all here. A good time was had by all.

Today my uncle Ken is rbingin my little cousin Colby and my kids are excited to see him. We will be having a little party, apparently. Tonight I am making Misk take me to a NICE dinner and then we have tickets to a comedy show at a place in Oak Bluffs.

Well I have taken about a half hour to write this short post. My grandmother has stopped by and the house is waking up, and I am constantly being distracted.

I hope you all have a good Labor Day....and hey, I am not one to beg, but...

PLEASE LEAVE ME A COMMENT TODAY FOR MY BIRTHDAY!! THANK YOU!

It's the little things that kill, tearing at my brain again....

Hey there, yes, I am still alive.

I had a blast in Boston! Seeing my sister was great. Hanging out with her fiance was fun. We got Shell's wedding dress -- well, ordered it, anyway, and it will be here in a couple months -- I can't wait! I even did well and didn't eat anything too bad at the Italian Festival. Go me!

I would show the wedding dress to you all, but I am pretty sure my brother-in-law- to-be bookmarked this blog, so I can't -- dang you Terry! hehe

I won't get into the drive up and back, because I will just get stressed...however I will mention that google, yahoo, and mapquest all need to start mentioning ROTARYS in the state of Massachusetts in their directions. I nearly had a coronary when I encountered 3 on the way....and promptly got lost in 2 of them. But anyway...

I got back Sunday afternoon, and had a nice dinner with the family. Nothing special really happened this week - cheerleading practice for the girls on Tuesday was fun (I'm an assistant coach), and I am looking forward to this with them. Tonight we have another practice. woot!

But yesterday, something awesome happened. Now it won't seem like much to you all....but kaity got a postcard in the mail yesterday...

"Ohhh! A postcard form school, wonder who it is from?" I thought. So I flipped it over...

I was very pleased at this development. The teacher kaity has is awesome, and I am good friends with one of the teacher's aides. I am very much looking forward to the first day of school (1 week from today - WOOT!) and seeing how Kaity likes this teacher. Emily loved her.

so yep, that's my world....I've been in a bit of a mental funk......so I haven't blogged.....meh

There lives a girl in Boston, A girl that I love well...

I am heading to Boston today, to see my sister, Shell, for the weekend.

We will be doing lots of wedding stuff, shopping for dresses and trying to find a color that defines "Periwinkle". We also will be hitting the Italian Festival, and I am hoping that I will find something that tastes decent and doesn't have tomatoes or lots of spice. Those are both off-limits for a while...

I am looking forward to this, as I have not been to Boston to visit her since we've been back to New England, 3 years now. I also will get to see her fiance, Terry, and meet some of his family as well.

Pray the church they are getting married in doesn't burst into flames when I step in there. I doubt it will, but I am hoping that they won't freak out on me if they find out I am a Wiccan. Shell has only told Terry, and no one else, because I am not quite ready for the family to know...

I also plan on giving an old friend from Jr and Sr. high, Matt, a call. He and his wife live in Boston, and I am eager to see his son. Yes, Matt's an ex, but we've been friends for a lot longer...we even hung out in Hawaii when Misk and he were both stationed there.

I will have my laptop, but not sure how much I'll get to use it. I will try to keep up on the blogosphere, but not sure how well...I might just catch-up Sunday night or Monday morning.

Have a great weekend everyone. I can't wait to see Beantown!

What a long strange trip it's been.....

...so, I didn't get the job. I'm OK about it though.....it wasn't meant to be apparently.

I appreciate that you all left messages of encouragement on Twitter, and email and comments. I just didn't have the time to answer back. I had one hell of a weekend.

Thursday, my kids had their school and sports physicals. That meant a great chunk of my day was spent at the NACC. Kaity got 5 shots, but she did great. She even asked them for sticker for her sister so Emily wouldn't be jealous. how sweet!

Friday...well Friday I was up at 8 am, so I could be at Borders before 9 am so I could get my wristband for the Breaking Dawn release party....I met with Brandi & Kerri and my kids, and was first in line! woot! As I was leaving, Brandi asked if I wanted to go with her to Lake Compounce, her treat. I was up for it, as long as I was at Borders by 10 PM, so we changed, packed some towels, and headed there. After an incredibly crazy drive (high speeds, unfamiliar area, me the defensive driver do not make a good combo) we had a great day of rides, food, water fun, then headed back (I let Kerri drive home cause I hate driving at night) and I literally dropped the kids, flew into a change of clothes and headed out to Borders!

I met Brandi and Kerri again at Borders and we hung out until 12:01, when I got my book, flew home and started to read Breaking Dawn at about 12:30. I finally passed out around 5:00 am and slept til 12pm, when Misk decided that I should be woken up because he wanted to go to lunch. I sent him and the kids off, and read some more, after many interruptions from the kids, I finally was able to finish the book.

If you have read any of the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer, you will understand that this was the most anticipated book sine the last Harry potter. I am still, 3 days later, processing everything that happened in Breaking Dawn. My Lord & Lady, it was AWESOME!!

I got a call from Brandi about our Saturday night plans, showered, and headed out to meet the Ladies. We had dinner, then went back to Brandi's to change, gussy up and headed to Shrine, the newest nightclub at MGM grand at Foxwoods. It was smaller than I was anticipating, but there was no lack of good looking people, male and female, and I was feeling particularly...uncomfortable about my size, until about halfway through the night, and after about 5 drinks that I finally stopped giving a damn, and danced my little heart out.

Apparently the key to attracting guys to dance with is confidence (something I tend forget after being married for almost 10 years), because after that I was dancing with attractive men all night long. It was a definite boost to my ego, and I had such a good time! Erin got extremely tipsy, and we all had a lot of laughs on the way home at each other's expense, because we all were flying high from the night. We finally got to bed about 3 am, with Erin deciding that talking until she passed out, in her groggy state, was the way to go hehe (sorry Erin, I had to mention it!)

Sunday morning, we were actually all up by about 9:30am, but after 5 women are up, showered, and out the door, it was nearly 10:45 and we still had to go to the store for food for the Lughnasadh Sabbat Ritual. The location was a 1 1/2 hour drive from there, so, by the time we finally got there, got started and started the ritual it was nearly 2. I was asked to be a "maiden" to invoke one of the Elements, and I was honored. I invoked Air from the East. It was a powerful ritual, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, as per usual. After the ritual was our usual feast and hanging out, and by the time we left it was 7:30 PM, then another 1.5 hours back to Brandi's and another 45 minutes home (I had to stop and get Misk and the kids dinner because he was too damn lazy to drive the 1.5 miles to KFC).

After arriving home, it was about 9pm, and I was just too tired to update, so I watched Army Wives with Misk and went to sleep...and that brings us to the here and now :)

So that was my weekend. Crazy but absolutely loads of fun. The job search continues today, and hopefully, I will find a few prospects :)

Have a great Monday, all!

We'll sweep this clear in 'alf a year, if you don't mind the work....

Goodness, whre to begin?

Well, it's been one hell of a last few days for me, that is for sure. i suppose this all started on Thursday, when I had a rather melancholy post, mainly whining, and I was hit with a sudden sense of dread and depression. I wasn't sure where it came from, and to be honest, it felt like a blanket of sadness was trying to smother me, quite suddenly...I sent an e-mail to my two closest friends here, Nicky & Brandi, asking them to please let us get together because I felt suddenly very depressed and wasn't sure why and I needed to vent. I talked to them both within the next few minutes between calls and e-mails, and it was decided I would meet them at Nicky's after work that night.

Fast forward about....4 hours, I called Nicky to check in with her, and I was told to go to Brandi's house. She seemed rather short about it and I asked what was wrong. I then found out that Brandi had found out about 2 hours prior that her mother was very ill, we're talking, dying, as in, may not make it through the month. As soon as work was done I raced to Brandi's and found out that her mother was on dialysis for a very rare kidney disease that affects 1 in about 3 billion people. yes I said BILLION...Since her mother is currently residing in NORWAY - like, Oslo, or somewhere abouts -- Brandi was heading to Norway as soon as humanly possible.

Oh yeah, that was a shocker, but also explained to me why the hell my sudden depression hit like a mack truck. Long story short....as a Pagan, when you perform Magick in a ritual or ceremony with, and also happen to be close friends with a person, a strong psychic bond is formed. I happen to be blessed with...foresight....about things from time to time. Ever get that feeling something is going to happen? Very specific, whether good or bad? About someone close to you? Yeah, I get those. Mainly it's about Misk or the kids, and for other people, I just get....a taste of what their emotional state of mind is going to be....I am still learning alot, and since I happen to suffer from depression and acute anxiety, I figured I was feeling this way because of my own life....nope, I was wrong, it was Brandi...freaky, huh?

So, Friday night, to keep Brandi from a meltdown and life as normal as possible for the rest of us, we all went to dinner and saw Sex and the City: the Movie. We laughed, we cried, we were disgusted...it was a good night. Cosmos before and after the movie were of course imbibed, and lots of good conversation was had by all.

The next day Brandi and another friend of ours, Kerri, headed to Norway. Nicky and I have been switching back and forth taking care of their Animals. All told, there are 7 ferrets, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a parrot. It's been Wild Kingdom every other day for me, but fun as all heck. But between work, caring for animals and my family, that's left me little time to blog, so I've been twittering a bunch...(look to the right, under Follow Fireheart...yep, that's twitter)

So, another piece of interesting, and in my opinion, very exciting news, is that my sister Shell, was proposed to by her boyfriend on Friday night! Yes, my little sister is off the market, and marrying a wonderful guy! And guess who is Matron of Honor? Yours truly of course, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I am also happy to take on helping my sister to plan most of the wedding, and have even worked on finding her dress and a reception venue already! I am ON IT, lemme tell you people! I even went out and got a wedding planner book today at Borders! Woot!

So that, is pretty much how my weekend went...it's been crazy, but I wouldn't have it any other way...I hope you all are having a good week so far...

And the best news (rumor) I've heard yet today is Hilary Clinton will be dropping from the Presidential race tomorrow, officially! What a great way to end this post!

So thanks for making me a fighter...

Ok, I am really ticked off this morning. Yesterday was a crappy day, and I thought, after cooling off and doing some breathing exercises to calm me down, I'd head to the bookstore and get some more books. Because, you see, 10 shelves over flowing ith books between Misk and I is not nearly enough.

After spending an hour and $60 on books, I settled into a comfy chair at the cafe with my small Mocha (damn place was out of Javakula mix!), and started reading. After another hour I felt much better indeed. I picked up The Bugaboo (Kaitlyn) from school, let her have a little play date at her friend's, then headed home to chill out some more before work.

Work, you ask? But Cissa, wasn't it Monday, your DAY OFF?? Why, yes, dear friends and readers, it was. But, alas, the girl who had been gone for 2 weeks (and whom I had covered MOST of her shifts, mind you) was apparently NOT able to make it because she wasn't back yet, or so I was told.

So, fiddle-dee-dee, there I am at work, a few tables but still pretty quiet, blah blah blah. The phone rings, and I look at the caller ID, inform my boss that it is the girl who's shift I am covering, and let him pick up the kitchen extension. He's chatting away and I hear...

"So, did you just get back?"

"Oh. Uh-huh..."

"Mm-hmm...a Chicken Gyro? OK see you in a bit."

If my face wasn't previously severely sunburnt at that point, it would have quickly gone as red as it was already. I'm rather certain I did start to turn purple, though. I. was. pissed.

Apparently the girl was back, in town, and had been all day. Not only that, but she had the effing GALL to call in a TAKE OUT ORDER AND COME IN AND PICK IT UP WHILE I WORKED HER EFFING SHIFT!!

Breathe Cissa, breathe......ok, I'm good.

Now, perhaps some of you may think I am over-reacting. Seriously? I am not. If you are going to call in and say you can't come in to work a shift at your job, why would you think it is OK to come in to the place for take-out ??? A couple people I have talked to about it have told me I should have said no to working the shift. Perhaps this is true. But I honestly do not think it would have changed a thing. She still would have come in, thus showing off to whoever was working. It's rude. It's incinsiderate. It's just plain wrong. Especially when I found out what happened at home after arriving back there about 9:30 last night.

Apparently, all the extra shifts I have taken on in the last 2 weeks is really upsetting my kids. Emily more than Kaitlyn, but I think that's because Kait sees me for a few hours after Pre-K, and I am already gone by the time Em gets home. When she got home and asked where I was, my mother told her. She cried hysterically for quite a while.

"She Lied! She Lied! She doesn't love us! Why is she always working?!"

I just about broke down and cried myself when my mother told me how upset Emily got. It's still ripping my heart out. Looking back on yesterday evening, I am more upset about the girl coming in because of my child's reaction to me not being home. She could have worked, but didn't. I know the other waitress who was offered the shift and she also turned it down to spend time with her kids. I am angry at myself for being so nice, because honestly, at that moment, I felt so taken advantage of, and that also angers me.

I don't know what to do. The money has been good, as far as getting my paychecks anyway. But I feel like I am burning out of this job lately. It's starting to affect my kids, and I'd rather live a simpler life and be home more than make my children need therapy because I gave them abandonment issues.

I talked to Emily today and explained to her why I worked, and apologized for not letting her know Monday before school. She was OK about it, but I could tell she was still very upset, and when she asked me if I was working again tonight, the broken look on her face when I answered yes said it all.

As I have said time and time again, Mother of the Year, I am not. And I continue to prove it over and over again.

Hope you all have had a better day. I'm going to go drown in a Diet Coke and a cigarette.

We are family, I got all my sisters with me....

It seems to me, given my recent foray into genealogy, that so many people are related. For instance, through marriages and births, cousins, aunts and uncles of my descendants, I am related to our current and former Presidents Bush, The Roosevelt Presidents, Ralph Waldo Emerson Humphrey Bogart and the Baldwin Brothers, just to start. The search is unbelievably fascinating, and me, being the instant gratification gal that I am, I just seem to point and click through an endless maze of names, until I find something interesting. Here's a few things I have discovered:

  • A very distant aunt of mine Mary (Perkins) Bradbury, was accused of witchcraft in Salem in 1692. Before she was tried, she was helped to escape and fled to another town. After the trials were over, by 1693, she returned to Salem and died a few years later.
  • That same Mary Perkins was a 16th generation of the Perkins Family, which may or may not have relation dating back to the 900's Dutchy of Brittany. With several royal connections including King Henry III of England.
  • There is a Sgt. Williams Harlow Association in New England. Their goal is to find all living connections to Sgt. William Harlow of Pre-Colonial times. (first 20 years in Mass.). I am among this list. I am a 13th generation descendant of him.
  • I have a descendant connection to THREE original Mayflower Passengers - Richard Warren, John Howland and John Tilley. There may be a fourth connection. I am still exploring.
  • People really liked the names, John, Mary, Ruth, Robert and David. A LOT. My eyes have crossed more times than I can say from all this reading of the same name over and over.
  • Desire is also a name which popped up a lot in my family. I think it's a rather odd name, for the times I found it in, but hey, I am not the one who named them.
  • This is going to take a LOT longer than I thought to fully finish. I may have to bring in the big guns and actually buy a family tree program. Writing it out is not quite working for me...LMAO
Needless to say, I have not been blogging a lot the last few days. I have been reading, just not commenting. I am working 6 days this week. Not to mention going to New Haven tomorrow, Friday is the Kids Karnival with Misk and the kids, and Sunday I am meeting with some friends to celebrate May Day (a few days late).

Sunday Night at 7:00 PM, however, I will the guest of Mr. Fabulous on Blog Talk Radio! I will make sure to link to the site on Saturday evening, but if not Mr. Fab ALWAYS has a link on his blog Sunday. Just think! an entire hour devoted to me!! LOL. I am actually a little nervous. I am curious as to what he will want to talk about, and how *ahem* dirty it will get. I will have to remind Mr. Fab I am a mother of two small kids...and they traipse in and out of my office ...a lot....hehe...nah, I will just kick them out or throw them in the bathtub, that ought to help keep them occupied!

Well, I am off to surf the net. I have a self-imposed break from the genealogy today as I am tired and also my eyes hurt from so much fine print reading. Then it's off to do some shopping!

Have a fabulous day, folks!

But the fevers gonna catch you when the bitch gets back...

I know that's a terrible title for the post, but it's been running through my brain ever since last night. And honestly I don't mean it. But it popped into my head, so there it is...

Mom and the girls are both back. The kids are back for good til Summer sometime.

Mom is back for a few weeks....til she moves...to MAINE!

I, of course, had to work all day during what was, hands down, the best bloody day we've had in 6 months. It was like 70+ degrees here in SE Connecticut, and I was in a restaurant ALL DAY.

How many customers did I get you ask? 2...YES..2 customers! I was bored out of my bloody skull. But at least I caught up on my reading!

The last customer for me didn't show up until 15 minutes before my shift was over, making me stay an extra 1/2 hour, which totally sucked because I just wanted to go home. I missed the girls more than I would have admitted all week. The freedom was great, and relaxing, but...

When I finally got home and heard the elephant tramplings down the stair and saw the shining smiles of Kaity then Emily, I just about crumpled right there. I swear, in one week, they both shot up at least 2 inches. New England blessed Spring break with gorgeous weather all week, and it was apparent that my father took full advantage of it and kept the girls outside most of it. Their faces were tan with twinges of pink from slight sunburn. They looked alive and happy, but I could tell that as much fun as they had with Grandma and Grandpa, they also missed home.

We hung out and I tried to get them to tell me all about their trip. Of course, they don't remember much, or just didn't have words to tell me, I don't know. I knew my mom was due back in that night so we all piled into the bed and watched MythBusters chatted and had tickle fights til I got the call from mom to pick her up. Mom was happy to be back, but I could tell something was different.

She said she couldn't wait til she went back.

Yeah, I am happy.

And now, I am going to sign-off and hang out with my family before work...but look for me tonight in the chat for Mr. Faboulous' Radio Show! By the way, May 4th, I am the guest on Mr. Fab's show! how exciting!! I can't wait...

Life has been patiently waiting for me.....

This week has been interesting. I am adjusting to Hubby being home all the time once more, and though I am learning that I CAN leave the house and live my life, see my friends and still be a good wife, there are times I wish I could take him with me, because he needs to get out too. But I feel confident and less guilty, and so, less inclined to be a hermit like Hubby, unlike the last two times he's had surgery. It's rather liberating to know I can live how I want, and not feel guilty for my life obligations. I think Hubby can tell the difference too. We had a long talk about how he doesn't want me to feel bad, he knows I am one who likes to get out. It's nice to know he doesn't resent me wanting to get out once in a while. It makes me feel more confident about it.

Mom News: A few weeks back, I was informed of a message on Craigslist for someone looking for my mother. I contacted the person, and we began correspondence. He is an old boyfriend of hers (before she met my father), and, apparently he even met me when I was a baby and sent the pictures to prove it. IMO, he still smitten with her. It's very sweet, and he's a very endearing person. I gave Mom his email and they have been emailing each other now several times every day, and he's invited her up to stay with him in Maine for a couple weeks at the end of this month. I have convinced her to go. My step-dad would have been happy to see her move on with a man who is so dedicated to her as he was. Moreover, she may be moving up there with him. This is good for both her and I. She'll move on with her life, she'll move out, and I am hoping will be happy. And I will have my house, privacy and family happiness back. There will be no hard feelings, no grudges, and no guilt....I like that.

Emily turns 7 a week from today. Her party is on Saturday, and it's strange to think that she is already 7. Her party is a Chuck E. Cheese's, and that means little to no work for me. It'll be expensive as hell, but no more so than if I hired a clown or magician or whatever. Plus I won't have to clean up afterwards, make goody bags, cook or clean. I know the kids will enjoy it immensely, and even Hubby said "yay! I can play video games and eat pizza!" LOL

Hubby and I started cleaning this week. Spring Cleaning. We cleaned the office, or started it rather, and I am about 1/2 done. I still need to take apart the computer, set up the new desk and hutch and organize/clean out the book cases. But that's what the school week is for. My next project? The linen and "big" closets. Just in the office we had 4 trash bags full of trash. scary, eh?

I am reserving the real cleaning of the downstairs until my mother goes on her trip to Maine. I won't have her hovering over me, watching me like a television show, and I can express my frustration without upsetting her. And I can throw out that effing rug in the LR that I refuse to deep clean again because I know that it's pointless being a light beige rug in my house. I am going to ditch it until she is moved out, and her furniture is out, then get a different rug, once my furniture is all back in place.

I am sure all this "news" is terribly boring to you all, but this is what I am. This blog is my outlet. I hope you will keep reading, and maybe once my life and house is less cluttered and more clean I can get back to blogging about interesting topics. Or at least more interesting that talking about cleaning and complaining about my mother.

Have a great week. See you all next Sunday!

And so it goes, and so it goes.....

Christmas is over and a New Year is almost upon us.

Here's Emily with her new haircut all styled, right before she sings into the microphone at school. I was so damn proud, I cried...a lot.....of course 2 days later she broke out in scarlet fever, 2 days before christmas, but that's not important now, is it?

Emily Looking Spiffy

I have lots to say on my Holidays. I spent last Friday at Nessa's house. We conspired to write about how we conspired with each other to blog about how her husband was telling her what to blog about. We'd had a few glasses of wine and lemoncello by then. I also promised to post pictures of our evening....so here they are....

Nessa enjoying some wine...

Emily by the fire that Nessa and I made

Dave's Big screen TV with Christmas DVD's playing

The lovely fire again...Dave couldn't believe us GIRLS knew how to do it LOL

Dave looking all suave before he goes to hang out with his buddies (too many girls in the house for him :P

I also saw my aunt in RI and had a good talk with her about my mom. I am hoping that Mom's visit with Auntie will get her motivated to get the hell otu of my house....my next option is taking her to an appointment for social services. Although I don't knwo how much help they will be. SHe doesn't want to help herself. She wasnts someone else to take care of her. I already have 2 children, I don't need a thrid...nor do I need my mother with me until I die. My whole life she taught me to be independant and not to have to rely on anyone, yet here she is, sticking to me like a fucking leech. Iroonic, isn't it? Anyway...

Christmas was a nice afair. The night that Emily went to the Urgent Care Clinic for her Scarlet fever (which is just a warm to the touch rash that pops up if strep throat isn't reated right away...it starts with headaches, then vomiting, then the rash...Em had them all), I was not feeling so hot myself with a bad headcold, and so Hubby decided to give me one of my presents (he only got me 2) I figured, what the hell, why not? Here's what I got....

1/3 ct. TW

yep they are real. Sorry about the bad pic quality.....my camera just will not cooperate..yes it made me feel just a little bit better that night....After all, Hubby swore after losing my first pair of diamonds at Nessa's during the wedding time, I wasn't going to get anymore...ever.....

Come Christmas day, I had one more gift. I waited patiently while the kids IMpatiently opened all their gifts and had a blast discovering what Santa brought them. This is what I got....

It's a Coach!!

It's small but fits all the essentials. I love it. I screamed and jumped up to call my friend Nicky. Hubby thought I was calling Nessa, which maybe I should have...but she reads this so she will be delighted....firstly that I finally updated, and second that I got this purse!!

Well that's enough from me for now...I have to go to work today. Then I am hoping to go out and do something with Hubby...but I am not holing my breath. We already went out and used a gift card we got this week for dinner. knowing him it will be all we do the rest of the time he's on leave...

I wish you all a Happy New Year....I'll blog again in January!!
