WELCOME Dr. John's Friends!

As Dr. John has sent all his JC Points people here on the Marathon will say WELCOME TO YOU!!!

Last night, after grocery shopping and hacking up a lung or two, I finally broke down and went to the emergency room for my chest cold. I was told I have a bronchial infection, and ear in fection and when shown to the docs, an unrelated, fungal rash. -- LOVELY huh? I got a breathing treatment in the hospital, which helped immensely. To cure me, I got antibiotics, an inhaler, fungal cream (for the rash) and good ole Motrin for my pains. The meds made sleep an oddity last night...or maybe it was just the sweltering 90 heat in my house.....

I miss Florida. Central Air in every home....*sigh*

I have lots of stuff to do today and have callled in a friend to help me with house work, as I am running slow....gotta pack Emmy to go to the Vineyard this weekend for the rest of the summer!!

Have a great day and Welcome to Dr. John's friends!

On the bright side, it sounds like you got your money's worth out of the trip to the ER. It sucks when you go in, feeling miserable and after putting off the trip for days to be told you have a cold and to take a Tylenol.

Have Fun Emmy, she will have a great summer!

(I figured out this commenting thing. Its rather easy; don't I feel silly)

Sorry to hear that you are sick. I know it is a bummer being sick and being on your own especially with kids.

I have to say I am here because of Dr. John's fabulous marathon today.

Hope you get to feeling much much better and quickly

Cissa--Sorry you're ill--love your blog though!

Wondering if you've tried using a facial steamer with sinus attachment--it keeps my lung/throat/allergy grunge levels way low by steaming out my snoot. (If you can breathe, ya get well sooner.)

Feel better soon,

Jude (from Lim's Limericks)

ps: who's Dr John? ;)

AWWW, thanks to all for your kind words and get well wishes.

Mr. Fab - technically yes, when I married Hubby I became a FL resident. I have a FL licence and Hubby's dad's side almmost all still live in central FL. Our Mae Flower is buried in "Useless Eustis"....and I dream of Zellwood corn on days like today...

hey thanks for friendly "Dr. John Welcome". I hope you are feeling better. Going away will hopefully bring you a little R&R. That always helps.

That was a nice welcome. Hope the meds work and your back on your feet again. I thought of you last night when I too was getting phlem but I don't have a cold I just think it is all that dust in the trying to pack up etc.

It is nice when one is not only expected, but anticipated. Thanks Cissa for the warm welcome to those of us sent by Dr. John.

You know when I go to my Doc with three or four unrelated ailments he throws very unbecoming little fits and uses words like "irresponsible" and "reckless."

Oh my, I hope you are feeling a little better. There's nothing worse than feeling sick in heat like this.

Dr. John sent me. Your graphics are lovely.
