Home Sweet Home

There's nothing like returning home and sleeping in your own bed. I would have to say that after watching a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, it's the most comforting in the world. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I slept on a cold concrete floor for the last week....I most certainly was given bed space. But my pillowtop matress that Hubby and I got 2 years ago has no competition as far as confort goes.

So I bet you all are wondering about the wedding? Damn, I wish I had pictures, but I don't. And you know why? Because my digital camera chose Tuesday night to start messing up. given the time constraints and the lists of things to do for the Bride, I didn't have time to go and get it taken care of. Even now I dont....I have packing to do because I start to move in 2 days...

So - the wedding....Nessa was beautiful...I saw her coming down the aisle, then I looked to her intended and I could see He was fighting to hold back the tears. I lost it. The Priest or Bishop or whatever he was had one of the altar boys get me some tissues. Those went into good use through out the ceremony. of course I had to split it with Nessa who was her own version of water works. After the ceremony was over, we went and took pictures at the site where D-man proposed. On the way one of the groomsmen called Domino's and had them deliver to the outdoor venue in Roger Williams Park. After driving around the more scenic parts of Providence, we headed to the reception. WHAT A CROWD!! Over 200 people at the reception, and lemme tell ya, crowds and I, they don't mix well. After cocktail hour, the Weddign Party was introduced. Then the best man and I had to give our little speeches.

I was nervous. I mean really nervous. Shaking like a leaf. I could barely read my speech, because my hands were shaking so much. I managed to get through the speech and only cried 2 times. Vanessa of course, cried too. So then dinner, dancing and lots of fun....I'd go into it more....but honestly, I am tired just thinking about it again. It was a long night. But fun.

And then I went to get the kids. Had my birthday party cookout from my parents, packed the kids up and went home Monday afternoon. And now I am home, and have been packing for the last day or so. Because I am moving tomorrow...yes, TOMORROW....luckily I have 2 weeks to get it all done and the old house clean...it'll be great. I have a few friends who are helping me out, and hey, I won't be the first Navy Wife in history to move without their husband available.

So I will be checking in but this will be my last post until Sunday at least. Hope Y'all have a great Labor Day weekend....

Thanks to Mr. Fab & Stu for guest posting this week for me! They were silly but I definitely enjoyed reading from afar! It was funny and...interesting....but they were awesome to do me a huge favor like that.....

LOVE YOU GUYS!!! *pink hugs n kisses*

Too bad I'm so far away, otherwise I'd help you move. Good luck with it, and remember, there is no official Olympic scoring for this event.

Also, I realize that there are about 13 hours to go, but Happy Birthday! And remember, if you've got the right kind of eyes, every day is your birthday.
